Eligibility Criteria for Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
Job Offer: Candidates must have a valid job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, or Prince Edward Island).
Endorsement: Applicants must obtain an endorsement from the province where their job offer is located. The endorsement confirms that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria for the AIPP.
Work Experience: Candidates must have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience within the last three years. The experience must be relevant to the job offered and classified as skill type/level 0, A, or B under the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Education: Candidates must have completed at least a high school diploma or equivalent education credential. Additional education or training may be required for specific occupations or job roles.
Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English or French by taking a designated language test (e.g., IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF). The test results must meet the minimum language requirements set by the AIPP.
Settlement Funds: Candidates must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their family members (if applicable) upon arrival in Canada. The required amount varies depending on the size of the family.
